Back in December 2020 the New Management Committee optimistically looked at a target of 40 new players starting beginner lessons in 2021. It must have been the festive season as this proved optimistic with only 31 applications for lessons. Congratulations and thanks the many Club Members who helped convince potential future players to become participants in this wonderful game of bridge.

In previous years we had looked at class sizes of up around 20 attending at specified days/times. This was not too successful as the days and times just did not suit everybody who was interested.

Instead, in 2021, we concentrated on finding starters and then setting up small groups (1 or 2 tables) on flexible days/times to suit the players. This worked pretty well and allowed starters to become comfortable with others in their group. There was no charge for the sessions. As things stand the Club is presently happy to arrange small beginner groups (even as low as 2 or 3 people), at days/times to suit. Interested beginners should contact Campbell Macrae on 0412 560 190.
